Trucks and Big Brother

Well the first monthly report came back and I didnt have any points against me. Each one of our trucks has a cental brain which reports back to a central system. It records braking, speeding, acceleration, sharp turns, idleing, driving without seatbelts, total mileage driven on a single crank up... so basically everything that you can do un-safely in a truck can be recorded. You have to apply for a small computer key which once approved is assigned to you (this logs and links the truck to the user), and it is the only way a truck will crank. Hence the way they know everything you're doing. Every month a report comes out with points you're docked if you dont follow the rules. The rules are very strict and hard to get used to but you get used to it eventually. An in-cab alarm sounds on certain things like speeding so it helps with following the rules and is very sensitive and annoying so most chances you will follow rules. I have driven about 50kms on the island so far with no point deductions. Too many and your priviledges may be revoked or worst... termination from island so I intend to stay to the rules.
